The problem: unsightly urban debris and invasive plants:
The Solution: Sheet Mulching
First we put down newspaper: 
Then we watered generously:
Then we put down cardboard and watered again:
Finally step: apply mulch (generously provided by the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Department) and voila! Nature!!
